
Cătălina Ulrich
Prof. Cătălina Ulrich - PhD, is assigned with the Department of Education Sciences for lecturing in: Sociology of Education, Theory and Practice of Civic Education, Interventional strategies in risk situations (Bachelor Degree), Team building and leading, Learning by cooperation, Interactive Teaching – Learning Methods (Master Degree).
Her professional and research interest domains are focusing on the quality of interactions in the school space, identity building for students and teachers, equity and diversity in education. She has coordinated national evaluation studies and researches in education for disadvantaged groups, teacher training, early education, multiple discrimination. She has used mainly a qualitative research methodology in international projects cooperating with cu SLO, INTRAC, UNICEF, Open Society Institute, WB, IOM, OSF Sores, EFA, Wolfensohn Institute, Bernard Van Leer Foundation, ISSA, and UNESCO. Following the experience as Fulbright scholar with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, she is promoting learning by projects.
